Giving the most deprived an opportunity to play the beautiful game

The Shoot For Boots for Africa Campaign is born out of our Shoot 4 Boots Project which has been run by Centre Spot since 2007. We are pleased to announce a very special competition...

The aim of Shoot 4 Boots is to collect used football boots and redistribute them to disadvantaged people through our Shoot 4 Boots Football Coaching Fun Days.

In October 2011, Centre Spot is aiming to go one better by sending a team of up to 15 coaches and volunteers, armed with reconditioned boots, equipment and kit that has been donated in the UK.

If you wish to support our campaign we have a facebook fan's page. You can keep up-to-date with our progress. Like our page, click here

We also intend to buy new equipment to help with our coaching fun days in Africa. The aim of Shoot 4 Boots 4 Africa will be to use the power of football as a means of providing for those most in need, and supplying an opportunity to enjoy sports where there has previously been a lack of opportunity.

Manny Abbeyquaye (Director –Centre Spot CIC) said -

"After spending so many years living in Africa, I know at first hand how important this project will be to the young children we will work with. This project is also unique because rather than just donating boots, we will seek to lay the foundations for young children to continue playing and enjoying football, The trip will also be a great experience for our coaches and volunteers".

In order to make the trip possible, Centre Spot CIC is organising a series of fundraising events throughout 2010 and into 2011.
